As someone targeted by the town’s Republican party during the 2022 election, I feel compelled to respond to the letter written by Republican Nancy Plencner on July 30, 2025, in which she calls for a halt to political attacks on town legislators.
Nancy wrote, “…political words can spur others into believing it's open season on public officials, so we should take personal responsibility to tone down the rhetoric … Today, stop the harsh talk, the personal attacks and, especially online, remind others you do not tolerate hate speech of any kind.”
I agree with you, Nancy!
