OPINION — Everything Allen Skillicorn has said and proposed is political and divisive, but not surprising coming from a self-proclaimed “chaos agent” who’s fomented fear since he arrived in our very safe little town.
He’s the same person who freaked out when he saw one homeless man living in a tent in the desert, automatically assuming this person was a danger to the middle school students within view. The truth is, being homeless or black or brown-skinned doesn’t make a person dangerous. That’s the kind of lie Trump used to win elections (exactly what Hitler did). Create fear by manufacturing boogiemen whom we can unite against and blame for all problems.
It’s an abomination to spread this misinformation and suggest that a resolution, “Fountain Hills will cooperate with ICE,” is needed to protect us from the undocumented immigrants living and working here, whom certain individuals deem very dangerous and to be feared. That’s complete poppycock and just the opposite of reality.
