My brain kept saying “Don’t do it!,” but my fingers insisted “Type!”
Now retired, on occasion I hearken back with fond memories to my days with “The Times.” I spent 32 years at the paper, albeit under different ownership, starting as a greenhorn reporter and leaving at the end of 2015 as editor.
Afterward, I also spent four years up on the dais as a town councilman, so I’ve sat on both sides of the press table. Oh wait, the table is no longer in council chambers. Huh. That’s strange. Where did it go?
