On the morning of April 20, I turned on the 7 a.m. news and on all news stations it was the story of the untimely death of someone called the Prince.
This went on all day. I decided to try The O’Rilley Factor that evening but O’Rilley’s first words were about the Prince. Somewhere along I must have missed the boat, as I had never heard of the Prince. I know who the king was, Elvis, The Duke, Ellington, and the Count, Basie, but again the Prince was unfamiliar to me.
Of the three aforementioned, none received the accolades by the news media as was given the Prince.

Saturday Night Live devoted their whole show showing the gyrations, stomping, strutting and guitar playing of this entertainer, and this gave me an idea of what I had been missing. But if I want to see strutters, stompers, jumping all over the stage, I would break out my DVD’s of Borrah, Minnovitch and his Hermonica Rascals, and sometimes they played some very listenable music.
Anyway, I know I will be approached by someone of the younger generation that will tell me to, “Get with it, old man,” and I will answer with a question, “Tell me where ‘it’ is and how do I find ‘it?’”
