Our town council is made up of a very diverse group of people but still has endorsed a primary property tax to be on the ballot in May. They all have come to the realization that the Town of Fountain Hills desperately needs these tax funds to make our town function properly.

There have been many letters and advertisements in The Times that have some valid points for and against the property tax. We must be willing to get out of the weeds and look at the big picture.

Our town needs new roads and the funds to maintain the quality of life that we all want. Nothing is perfect, but the property tax will be fair to all and benefit everyone.

Let’s get out of the weeds and vote on May 15 for the benefit of our town.
