The Fountain Hills Theater held its annual Prizm Awards ceremony earlier this month.
The gathering celebrates the season’s past shows, both on the Mainstage and the Mainstage, Too.
Season ticketholders are invited throughout the year to fill out ballots on their favorite actors, actresses, productions, etc.
Results are tabulated, and theater personnel, board members and other supporters gather to give out the coveted Prizm Awards.
The drama “Same Time, Next Year” and the musical “Cats” garnered the most awards.
Following is a complete list of winners:
Best overall production – “Same Time, Next Year.”
Best actor in a musical – Roger Prenger as Igor in “Young Frankenstein.”
Best actor in a play – Chad Campbell as George in “Same Time, Next Year.”
Best actress in a musical – Janine Smith as Elizabeth in “Young Frankenstein.”
Best actress in a play – Heidi Carpenter as Doris in “Same Time, Next Year.”
Best supporting actor in a musical – Brian Anderson as Leaf Coneybear in “The 25th annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”
Best supporting actor in a play – Mark Burkett as Curtis Appleby in “Night Watch.”
Best supporting actress in a musical – Noel Irick as Frau Blucher in “Young Frankenstein.”
Best supporting actress in a play – Diane Senffner as Helga in “Night Watch.”
Best actor in a minor role – Matt Mcdonald in “Night Watch.”
Best actress in a minor role – Kim Cooper-Schmidt as Jemima in “Cats.”
Best director – Peter J. Hill for “Same Time, Next Year.”
Best choreographer – Noel Irick for “Cats.”
Best musical director – Flora Mogerman for “Cats.”
Best set design – Peter J. Hill for “Same Time, Next Year.”
Best lighting design – Peter J. Hill for “Same Time, Next Year.”
Best sound design – Todd Carrie for “Same Time, Next Year.”
Best costume design – Patricia Tonzi for “Cats.”
Best hair and makeup – Patricia Johnson, MaryBeth Ingram and Jacqui Notorio for “Cats.”
Outstanding contribution – Carol J. Carroll, Patrick Russo, Len Modder, Natalie Varela and the Fountain Hills Noon Kiwanis Club.
