Winter Break Camp started yesterday, Dec. 26, and continues through Dec. 29. Students will learn improv, character creation and comedic timing. Katie Male, a stand-up comedian and assistant director of ASU’s 32-year-old sketch comedy group, “Farce Side Comedy Hour,” will teach the class.
January Break Camp begins Jan. 1 and continues through Jan. 6. Paige Beckman is the instructor.

Theater winter break camp opens

With local students out of school until Jan. 8, Fountain Hills Theater is offering two break camps.
Winter Break Camp started yesterday, Dec. 26, and continues through Dec. 29. Students will learn improv, character creation and comedic timing. Katie Male, a stand-up comedian and assistant director of ASU’s 32-year-old sketch comedy group, “Farce Side Comedy Hour,” will teach the class.
January Break Camp begins Jan. 1 and continues through Jan. 6. Paige Beckman is the instructor.
The class, “Harry Potter Christmas Musical,” gives participants an opportunity to visit Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for a fun, campy musical version of Harry Potter with a Christmas theme.
Children will learn acting, singing and dancing while portraying Harry Potter favorites.
The morning session is from 9 a.m. to noon for ages 5-10. The afternoon session is 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Full day is available with instructor approval.
Tuition is $175. Call 480-837-9661, ext. 3.
Classes will be held at Fountain Hills Theater, 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd.
