Theresa Manfra, 87, of Fountain Hills, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Feb. 9, 2016.
Theresa was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
She had a strong faith in the Lord and could recite her favorite psalms by heart.
She is survived by her only daughter, Deborah Kossob, and son-in-law, Nick (whom she called her son); her grandchildren, Jason Cook and Teresa Kossob (her namesake); and one great-granddaughter, Valentina (the light of her life).
She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Theresa was married for 65 years to Al Manfra, who preceded her in death in 2012. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Nick Jr., her sister and parents.
Theresa was a seamstress and trainer for Brooks Brothers and was active in the Republican Party. She often worked and helped organize fundraisers for the sheriff and senators in New Jersey where she lived until moving to Arizona in 2004.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her kindness and generosity.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Banner Hospice. We thank them for the loving care they provided to her.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Mortuaries, Fountain Hills. Private services are being held.
