Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reports that the Fountain View Village senior residential facility received a bomb threat around 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16.
A nurse at the skilled care facility on campus called MCSO to report a conversation she just had with a woman identifying herself as the daughter of a patient.
The nurse said the woman complained about the service and care that her mother was receiving and asked that things be changed. When the nurse explained there were things she could not change without doctor authority the woman told her, “I will just have to blow the facility up.”

Staff immediately locked down the facility and called the Sheriff’s Office.
The building was searched and deputies talked with the suspect’s mother, who was described as uncooperative.
After a K-9 deputy searched the facility and found nothing, deputies stood down and released the scene. Staff was told to report anything that was remotely suspicious or just didn’t feel right.
Prosecutors will be asked to consider charges for threatening and intimidating and use of electronic communication to terrify.
