The Fountain Hills Unified School District PTO is gearing up to host its 15th annual Gala fundraiser, set to be hosted out of the We-Ko-Pa Resort and Conference Center on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 6 to 11 p.m. This year’s theme is “Saturday Night Fever in the Hills.”
This is the PTO’s first year as a pre-kindergarten through high school organization and organizers said they can’t wait to see all the new and returning parents from all grade levels. Gala festivities include a live auction, silent auction, raffle, 50/50 drawing, pick-a-prize event, dinner, dancing and a chance to get to know other Fountain Hills parents.
This year also features the group’s first jump into the world of online bidding. Upon registration, participants will receive a link on their phone to their bid page. From there, they will be able to bid on a wide variety of items which will be updated regularly.

The live auction and classroom baskets will be reserved for the night of the event. However, any and all people interested will be able to bid on items, even if they are not physically attending the event. As bidding progresses and more people register, notifications will be sent directly to participants when someone outbids them on an item.
All bidding will be done through smart devices and there will be iPads and charging stations available at the event for those who need them. This new process will also allow the PTO to streamline checkout, with participants able to pay directly from their phone and have their receipt emailed to them.
More details will be provided as the Feb. 24 event date approaches.
