He was born March 3, 1951 the only son of Dr. A.P. “Tom” Raney and Virginia Giardina Raney in Paris, Ark. TJ graduated from Russellville High School, and went on to graduate from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville with a degree in foreign languages. Besides English, he was fluent in Spanish, German, French and Italian.
TJ was an antique car enthusiast and enjoyed being at car shows. He loved to show off his 1954 Chevy he bought with his yard mowing money in his early teen years. He was also an entrepreneur who owned many successful businesses in Little Rock, Ark. including a limousine service and a thriving estate sale and liquidation business.
TJ was an animal lover and he especially cherished dogs he kept over the years. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to fourpeaksanimalrescue.org.
TJ was a great friend to many over the years and will be dearly missed. We have loved him in life, let us not forget him after death.
TJ is survived by a nephew, Jon Erik Jacimore; niece, Heather Martensen and partner, Michael Kropidlowski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.P. Raney and Virginia Giardina Raney and sister, Margaret Ann Raney.
