As of April 1, 2017, the Technology Learning Center (TLC) will no longer offer regularly scheduled tech workshops. I want to thank the volunteers, who have so generously donated their time, energy and expertise since the beginning in 2001.
These tireless volunteers have provided the mature adults of Fountain Hills a technological learning experience (from learning how to turn on a computer, mastering the use of a mouse, to learning how to stream video on their smartphones). Community grants and student fees have provided revenue for the equipment, materials and lab space for these services.

TLC is not totally disappearing. Through the Activity Center, our volunteers will offer occasional presentations and will continue to provide the free “Time-4-U” sessions each Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. for drop-in tech help with devices, laptops and software issues.
The TLC volunteers feel confident they made an impact on our students’ ability to navigate this ever-changing tech world.
In closing, I want to thank all the volunteers, students and donors who have made the last 16 years of an integral community partnership successful, both in the eyes of the students and the volunteers.
