The Fountain Hills Toastmasters Club announced it is has changed the day, time and location for its weekly meetings.

The new day and time is now every Wednesday beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m. until 7:30.

The new location is at First American Title, 13212 N. Saguaro Blvd., on the southwest corner of Saguaro and Palisades next to Sears.

Club President Doug Houle said, “These changes will help to facilitate the expected growth of our club.

“First American has extended their terrific training room to the Fountain Hills Toastmasters, which will allow our members to benefit from a large meeting room, equipped with everything a person needs to help hone their speaking and presentation skills.”

Houle added, “Wednesdays are a more suitable day of the week to hold a meeting, and the 6:30 start time provides members and guests with a more convenient meeting time.”

Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development.

A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere.

There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success.

Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure.

“Membership in Toastmasters is one of the greatest investments you can make in yourself,” Houle said.

The Fountain Hills Toastmasters club is one of the few clubs within 25 miles that offers an evening meeting, which is a perfect time for those with busy schedules that won’t allow for a daytime meeting.

The Fountain Hills club welcomes new members and invites anyone over the age of 18 to attend a meeting to see if it a good fit. Visit the website for more information at www.fountainhills.toastmastersclubs.org.
