Toni Louise (Lange) Eral passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Sherman Home of Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix on Oct. 4, 2017. She was 74 years old.
Toni was born in Duluth, Minn. on March 22, 1943 to Gerald and Josephine Mae Lange. She was a Duluth resident until she married Charles Louis Eral in 1962 and made their home in St. Cloud, Minn. Toni worked for St. Cloud Technical and Community College (formerly VoTech) until 1996, when they moved to Fountain Hills.
Toni then worked for the Mayo Clinic, retiring in 2010. Toni was proud to be a Mayo employee and cherished the many friends she made there. Toni’s greatest joy was her grandchildren. She loved watching them play sports when she was able to travel to their home states, listening to their basketball games on the radio, and recently watching the live streaming of their lacrosse and football games on her iPad. Toni looked forward to the yearly vacations at a lake in Minnesota when the family would be together.
Toni is survived by her husband, Charles; her three children, DeAnna (Bill) Dunsmoor of St. Cloud, Minn., Tracy Eral Berman of Carlsbad, Calif. and Russell (Cindy) Eral of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Brooke, Hailey and Luke Dunsmoor, and Collin Berman; two siblings; Jerry (Phyllis) Lange and Donna Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Brian Lange.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday Oct. 12, 2017 at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary [12065 N. Saguaro Blvd. Fountain Hills]. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Toni had requested to be cremated and laid to rest in St. Cloud, Minn.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ.
