Tour d ’Artistes runs March 1-3 in Fountain Hills

Community invited to attend Fountain Hills Art League’s 12th annual tour

The Tour d’ Artistes is a Tour de Force, according to a press release by Lloyd Tarr, a participating artist and Fountain Hills Art League member.

“A Who’s Who of the art world. Rub elbows with renowned artists, celebrities, the elite. Wait…That’s the Met Gala,” Tarr said in the press release. “But the Tour d ’Artistes Studio Tour and Sale is a close second.”

Arizona artists shine in the Art League’s 12th annual tour running March 1-3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, according to Tarr in his press release.

Some studios may even wait for a few stragglers until 5 p.m., Tarr said.

“Three days filled with creativity from painting to ceramics, fiber crafts to sculpture, art and crafts in all mediums. The Tour d’ Artistes features unique, one-of-a-kind works of art,” Tarr said. “With 11 studios to visit, wear comfortable shoes,” Tarr adds.  “And bring a suitcase full of cash. You wouldn’t want to miss out on some great deals.”

Vote on All Member Show

The Fountain Hills Art League’s All Member Show is hanging in the Fountain Hills Community Center during the month of February.

The winners of this show will be chosen by the public, according to Tarr.

Ballots are available in the hallway for the community to pick their favorite piece.

Two winners including the People’s Choice Award and an Honorable Mention Award are announced at the public reception set for Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive.

During the reception, there will also be a sale and silent auction featuring the artwork of several of the Art League members, Tarr said.
