The self-guided tour takes visitors to studios around the community. Local artists will have their original work displayed and for sale. They also will be demonstrating their techniques throughout the tour. The tour is free of charge.

In less than a month, 15 art studios and numerous artists will be open for the eighth annual Tour d’Artistes.
The event is scheduled for March 1, 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The self-guided tour takes visitors to studios around the community. Local artists will have their original work displayed and for sale. They also will be demonstrating their techniques throughout the tour. The tour is free of charge.
Among the highlights of this year’s tour includes the “Meet and Mingle” event Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery. The reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. to kick off the tour. Tour maps will be available at the gallery.
Another highlight is the chance to win one of three prizes. Visitors to all 15 studios can enter to win a $150 art certificate, a $100 gift certificate to Sami Fine Jewelry or a $100 gift certificate to Sofrita.
Some of the participating artists this year include the following:
Serendipity Art Studio, 15203 E. Ridgeway Drive: Sally Atchinson, alcohol ink, watercolor, silk and cards; Charlene Beil, alcohol ink, acrylic, oil, jewelry and photography; Sandy Herbst, jewelry, mosaic, mixed media and fiber art; and Judith Rothestein-Putzer, mixed media, jewelry, photography.
Carol’s Garden Studio, 16440 E. Bainbridge:Carol Stuttard, watercolor.
Poetry in Paint, 17019 E. Calle del Sol: John Morris, acrylics, mixed media; Nancy Grahlmann, glass, pastels, acrylic.
Maps, with a complete list of studios and artists, will be available at business sponsors throughout the community.
