One of the things we like best about Fountain Hills is just how active its community is in creating unique, family-friendly opportunities for folks to get out and spend some time with their neighbors. From the art fairs and musical events to Movies in the Park, the Fourth of July shindig, Oktoberfest, Halloween in the Hills, the Stroll in the Glow and beyond, there’s always something to do around town.
But just as important as hosting regular events is letting people know that those opportunities exist in the first place. From the activities listed above to the numerous parks, golf courses, local dining, hiking trails and everything else our community has to offer, Fountain Hills wouldn’t be such a draw if there weren’t men and women working at Town Hall to spread the word about just how special this place can be.

That’s where the tourism staff comes in. Their job is to let the rest of the world know about Fountain Hills, and they’ve done an especially good job of exactly that this past year.
In fact, their efforts recently earned a pretty major recognition from the Arizona Office of Tourism, which you can read all about on page 1A. In short, the team won the award for Outstanding Marketing Campaign for 2017, specifically for their “Get out of the Valley and into the Hills” promotion.
If you need a reminder of just some of the many ways to stay busy around town, we’d recommend heading online, dropping by YouTube and typing in “Get out of the Valley and into the Hills.”
