As the fiscal year moves toward its final quarter (April – June) Town of Fountain Hills staff members are busy preparing numbers for the upcoming year that will begin July 1.
As a starting point, Finance Director David Pock prepared an overview of the past fiscal year as a guide. It was scheduled for a presentation at a public open house on Feb. 14.
Pock presents a general description of government accounting as it differs from for-profit public accounting. It is regulated by accepted accounting principles set by the Government Accounting Standards Bureau.
