Town Code change addresses wireless antennas in Fountain Hills

Rules apply to public utility equipment in rights-of-ways

The Fountain Hills Town Council has approved a Town Code amendment that sets regulations for wireless communications antennas in the town rights-of-ways that are used by utility companies.

While working on a broader ordinance to address telecommunications infrastructure in the Zoning Ordinance staff took up the issue of utility companies’ wireless antennas addressed in the Town Code.

Utility service antennas may be connected to transformers, water towers and other equipment that allows communication within the utility system.
