The Fountain Hills Town Council voted unanimously at a recent meeting to approve the purchase of a small “skid steer loader” from Empire Caterpillar.
Public Works Director Justin Weldy cited proper management of the stormwater drainage system as the basis for the purchase request.
“Maintaining an adequate stormwater collection and conveyance system is a combined and cooperative effort between Public Works, engineering and the street department that requires the use of specialized heavy equipment,” Weldy said.
