The council will pick up where it left off with regard to a proposed operations agreement between the Town of Fountain Hills and the Chamber of Commerce.
The agreement applies to a planned visitor center for the downtown area, proposed for a location in the Park Place development on Verde River Drive south of Avenue of the Fountains.
Chamber officials have been working on a lease agreement with the developer to relocate its offices to the new center. The agreement with the town applies only to a portion of the site to be used as the visitor center.
The council discussion will include consideration of an agreement with the FireRock Community Association, Inc. to reimburse the association for public art funds.
The association is planning a public art project at the entrance to FireRock Country Club on Shea Boulevard and is seeking reimbursement of $143,555 from the Public Art Fund to support the project.
The Council will also have a proposal for an amendment to the approved development agreement with Americana Development & Building Company.
The original agreement covers a proposal to build a senior living campus including nursing care on a site along Avenue of the Fountains between La Montana and Westby drives.
The Town Council will meet Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
This preview story is based on a draft agenda made available to The Times. Agendas are not officially posted until 24 hours before the scheduled meeting time and are subject to change prior to that. Detailed information packets for the meeting are available with the posting to the town website, fh.az.gov.
