The deadline to file candidate papers for openings on the Fountain Hills Town Council is Wednesday, June 1.
Those interested in filing have until 5 p.m. today to take papers and petitions to Town Hall, 16705 E. Avenue of the Fountains.
Councilpersons whose terms end this year are Dennis Brown, Cassie Hansen and Cecil Yates. Mayor Linda Kavanagh’s term also expires this year.
The town’s primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 30. If a run-off election is necessary, it will be held during the General Election Nov. 8.
