Town Council discusses moratorium on zoning waivers

Questions about minor staff adjustments during review

Fountain Hills Town Council is asking staff to prepare a possible resolution to declare a one-year moratorium on any waivers staff might grant for building projects in town.

Councilmember Hannah Larrabee said she believes there should be more council oversight of larger projects.

Vice Mayor Allen Skillicorn said he has heard some concern from residents about transparency related to such things as retaining wall height and building height and hillside challenges.
