Town Council extends moratorium on 5G in Fountain Hills

To June 30, 2024

The Fountain Hills Town Council has voted to extend a moratorium on the installation of 5G telecommunications equipment in town.

The moratorium was originally approved by the council in May 2023 and expired as of Jan. 1, 2024. The renewal was approved on the same 4-3 vote it passed last year.

The resolution calls for “all utilities operating in the Town of Fountain Hills to cease and desist the build-out of so-called ‘5G’ enabled small cell antennas.”
