Fountain Hills Town Council hears economic development update

Fourth quarter report presented

The availability, or lack thereof, of rental housing units in Fountain Hills is again a highlight of a quarterly report from Town of Fountain Hills Economic Development Director Amanda Jacobs.

In a report for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year that ended June 30, Jacobs said the occupancy rate for multi-family rental communities remains above 90%. The report does not include single-family homes for rent.

Jacobs uses six apartment complexes with more than 500 units combined in her reporting. Two fairly small complexes, Gunsight Apartments and Casa De Lago, totaling together approximately 30 units, are reported to be 100% occupied. Park Place on Avenue of the Fountains downtown is 95% full, and Pillar at Fountain Hills, also on the Avenue near downtown, is 93% occupied, according to Jacob’s report.
