The Fountain Hills Town Council needs a do-over of action it took at a meeting in January 2025. When it meets Tuesday, Nov. 4, the council will consider ratification of action that called for sending a proposed telecommunications ordinance back to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The motion at the time included the appointment of Councilmember Rick Watts to act as a liaison between the commission and the council related to the ordinance. It also called for the release of the Campanelli consultant’s report for commission reference. The council had previously withheld the Campanelli report as executive session privileged.
In October, the town received a letter from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office citing two complaints of open meeting law violation related to the council’s January action. The complaints specifically noted that discussion of the potential release of the Campanelli report was not properly on the agenda.
