The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Department is inviting and encouraging senior softball players and men’s softball players to meet on Monday, Sept. 26 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Town Hall.
There are two main purposes for the meeting which is to decide if there is enough interest to potentially host a senior softball tournament in January and to generate ideas on how to attract more teams for the men’s softball league.
Topics that will be discussed include the planning stages of a tournament, such as determining the number of teams, age divisions, format, rules, bats, awards, and promotion.

Town hosts meeting to talk softball

The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Department is inviting and encouraging senior softball players and men’s softball players to meet on Monday, Sept. 26 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Town Hall.
There are two main purposes for the meeting which is to decide if there is enough interest to potentially host a senior softball tournament in January and to generate ideas on how to attract more teams for the men’s softball league.
Topics that will be discussed include the planning stages of a tournament, such as determining the number of teams, age divisions, format, rules, bats, awards, and promotion.
Town staff is also seeking input from men’s softball players to discuss new ways to recruit more teams for the Tuesday night league.
