Town offers summer sports

The Town of Fountain Hills Recreation Department is working with Skyline Athletes to offer a couple of “sporting” activities for youngsters and their parents over the summer months.

Multi-sport class for parents/tots

Parents can introduce their toddlers to a wide variety of sports all in one program with the Parent-Tot Multi-Sport program offered by the Town of Fountain Hills Recreation Department, beginning later this month.

Parents play an active role in this fun program. Children will be introduced to a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, football and more. This program focuses on teamwork, socialization and motor skills.

Classes are taught by Skyline Athletes and meet on Tuesdays, June 13 through July 18, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. There is no class July 4.

The class is for children 18 months to three years and the cost is $45.

Preregistration is required using Course #2852. Register online at fh.az.gov/recreation or register in person at Town Hall or the Community Center.

T-Ball program for kids 3-5

The Town of Fountain Hills Recreation Department is offering a T-ball program for kids three to five years of age during June and July.

Learn the fundamentals of baseball in a fun, safe environment. The class will focus on the basics of throwing, catching, hitting, fielding and base running.

Players must bring a baseball mitt.

The classes are taught by Skyline Athletes and will be held on Tuesdays from June 13 through July 22, from 10:15 to 11 a.m. The cost is $55.

Preregistration is required and this is Course #2856. Register online at fh.az.gov/recreation, or in person at Town Hall or the Community Center.
