Town offers tennis lessons

Fountain Hills Community Services department will be hosting tennis lessons for all ages and skill levels beginning in April.

Pee Wee Tennis is for ages five to six, emphasizing fun and covering fundamentals, coordination drills and games.

Classes are on Saturdays from April 7 through May 26, at 10 a.m. The class is $80 and those interested can register using Course #3300.

Town offers tennis lessons

Fountain Hills Community Services department will be hosting tennis lessons for all ages and skill levels beginning in April.

Pee Wee Tennis is for ages five to six, emphasizing fun and covering fundamentals, coordination drills and games.

Classes are on Saturdays from April 7 through May 26, at 10 a.m. The class is $80 and those interested can register using Course #3300.

The Youth Tennis course offers two levels of instruction with a goal to teach students of all skill levels in the 7-14 age group the love of the game.

This is course #3302 and meets on Saturdays, April 7 through May 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. Course #3304 for those 11 to 14 years old meets from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, April 7 through May 26. The cost is $90.

Adult Beginners can enjoy healthy physical activity while learning basic fundamentals and techniques. The class is for those 18 years of age and older and meets on Thursdays, April 5 through May 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Register for Course #3306 and the cost is $110.

Adult Intermediate doubles class is Course #3308 for players rated 3.5- and will meet on Wednesdays from April 4, through May 23, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

For advanced players rated 3.5+, class will meet on Thursdays, April 5, through May 24, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The intermediate and advanced classes are for those 18 years and older and cost is $110.

Ron Nielson is the instructor and all classes are held at the Golden Eagle Park tennis courts.

Preregistration is required. Register online at fh.az.gov/recreation or at Town Hall or the Community Center.
