The Town of Fountain Hills is presenting its annual Citizens Academy beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

This is a seven-week program to be held each Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. through March 9. Sessions will be held at the Community Center. There is no cost for the program.

Anyone interested in the local government of Fountain Hills and wants to learn more this free course is for them.

The course will provide participants with an inside look at the Town of Fountain Hills and its daily operations.

This is an informative course led by knowledgeable town staff discussing the various functions the local government performs, including finance, economic development, fire and safety and more.

Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a Citizen’s Certificate and a better understanding of how your local government strives to serve the diverse group of citizens in Fountain Hills each and every day.

Pre-registration is required and this can be done at fh.az.gov/recreation or register at Town Hall or the Community Center.
