The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills reported deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, July 24 through Wednesday, July 30.
Thursday, July 24
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported an unknown subject sold the victim’s personal information to financial companies without permission.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills reported deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, July 24 through Wednesday, July 30.
Thursday, July 24
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported an unknown subject sold the victim’s personal information to financial companies without permission.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Morning Vista Lane reported an unknown subject posing as a customer service agent defrauded the victim out of approximately $19,000 as part of a scam.
*A resident of the 12000 block of La Montana Drive reported a violation of a court order.
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Fountain Hills and El Lago boulevards for a driver not having taillights as required. Upon contacting the driver deputies initiated a DUI investigation. The driver was subsequently cited for DUI and released.
Friday, July 25
*A resident of the 16000 block of El Lago Blvd. reported an unknown subject attempted to open an account using the victim’s personal information without permission.
*Deputies received a report that a subject attempted to break into a vehicle while it was parked at a business.
Saturday, July 26
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Technology Drive for speeding. A records check during the stop revealed the driver had an active warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported an unknown subject damaged the victim’s vehicle by punching it while it was parked at a gas station.
Monday, July 28
*Deputies responded to Saguaro Boulevard at Palmer Way where a traffic collision was reported. Deputies said a driver slowed for a roadway closure and was struck in the rear by another motorist.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Palisades Blvd. reported an unknown subject posed as a customer service representative and attempted to obtain the victim’s personal information as part of a scam.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. Deputies report the driver was traveling 75 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
* Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. Deputies report the driver was traveling 80 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Eagle Mountain Parkway when a driver was observed using a cellular device while driving. A records check during the investigation revealed the driver’s license had been suspended. The subject was issued a criminal citation.
*A resident of the 11000 block of Inca Ave. reported an unknown subject made unauthorized charges totaling approximately $1,000 on the victim’s credit card.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where a reportedly intoxicated subject was trespassed from the property of a business after creating a disturbance.
Tuesday, July 29
*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards for a reported traffic collision. According to deputies, a driver failed to control their speed and rear-ended a second vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*A resident of the 16000 block of La Montana Drive reported an unknown subject opened a credit account in the victim’s name without permission.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. Deputies report the driver was traveling 76 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Palomino Blvd. reported a violation of a court order.
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Blvd. where a private property vehicle collision was reported. According to deputies, a driver backed into an unoccupied parked vehicle in the parking lot of a business. They then fled the area without exchanging information or reporting the incident to law enforcement. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
Wednesday, July 30
*A resident of the 17000 block of Baca Drive reported that a subject posing as a Microsoft employee attempting to defraud the victim out of money as part of a scam.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speeding on Shea Boulevard at Technology Drive. Deputies report the driver was traveling 74 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for speeding on Palisades Boulevard at Lost Hills Drive. Deputies report a subsequent records check revealed the driver had an active warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission.
*A resident of the 11000 block of Indigo Drive reported a violation of a court order.
