Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Sept. 4, through Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Thursday, Sept. 4
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Technology Drive. According to deputies the driver was traveling 70 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Sept. 4, through Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Thursday, Sept. 4
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Technology Drive. According to deputies the driver was traveling 70 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
* Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Technology Drive. According to deputies the driver was traveling 83 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject attempted to commit a strong-arm robbery at a business.
*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Telegraph Drive where a domestic violence fight incident was reported.
Friday, Sept. 5
*Deputies responded to Shea and Saguaro Boulevards where a traffic collision was reported. According to deputies the collision occurred after a motorist failed to control their speed and rear ended a vehicle stopped in traffic. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to Golden Eagle Boulevard and Boulder Drive for a reported traffic collision. MCSO reported that a driver failed to yield while making a left turn and was struck by another vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicles were towed from the scene.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard and Indian Wells Drive. According to deputies the driver was traveling 48 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. A records check revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.
Saturday, Sept. 6
*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and La Montana Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies report that the driver lost control of their vehicle and collided with a landscaping boulder. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was not towed. After contacting the driver, deputies initiated a DUI investigation. A blood sample was sent for lab analysis and charges are pending results.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where a private property traffic collision was reported. According to deputies a driver backed into a parked vehicle in a parking lot. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*The Sheriff’s Office reported that a person who was in custody for a separate crime headbutted the window in the door of a holding cell at a police facility causing the glass to break. The subject was later booked into jail.
Sunday, Sept. 7
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where a subject was trespassed from the property of a business after they were found camping on the property.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that a transient subject was seen urinating in public. The subject was issued a criminal citation.
Monday, Sept. 8
*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills Boulevard and Muskrat Lane for a reported single vehicle collision. MCSO reports the driver made an improper left turn and struck a street sign. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was not towed.
*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where a private property hit and run collision was reported. Deputies report a driver struck a parked vehicle in a parking lot and then left the area without reporting the incident or exchanging information with the owner of the other vehicle.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive for a reported domestic violence assault incident. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.
Tuesday, Sept. 9
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard and Ledferd Lane for a vehicle with an expired registration tag. According to deputies a check of records revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to a single vehicle traffic collision on Saguaro Boulevard at Firebrick Drive. Deputies said that after contacting the driver, a DUI investigation was initiated. The driver was arrested for DUI and later issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. for a reported traffic collision. Deputies reported that a motorist made an improper turn and struck another vehicle that was stopped in the driveway to a parking lot. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
