Trash in trailer smoulders

trailer fire

A load of garbage crammed into a horse trailer caught fire while it was being towed through Fountain Hills on Monday morning.

The driver noticed smoke coming from the trailer as he was passing through and pulled off of Saguaro Boulevard onto Kingstree and called the fire department.

Firefighters had to pull much of the debris out of the trailer and onto the street to extinguish the smoldering load.
