Youngsters entering third to fifth grades are eligible to participate in “Time Travelers Time Machine” sessions at the River of Time Museum.

While there, participants will explore geological, historical, astronomical and natural phenomenon.

Two identical sessions of the interactive day camp will be offered June 4-7 and again June 25-28.

Sessions will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Cost for the four-day program is $75 or $70 for family members of the museum.

Scholarships are available thanks to a donation from a town resident.

Participants will enter the museum’s Time Machine and go back in history to explore early geologic formations (Rockin’ Rocks), local history (Holding Down the Fort), astronomy (Astronomical Antics) and natural history (Desert Dwellers).

Activities will include learning bugle calls, creating an active volcano and learning to navigate by the stars. Live desert critters will visit.

Museum docents, staff and trained volunteers will conduct the program.

If interested in attending, register in person at the museum or call 480-837-2612.

To learn about scholarships, contact museum program/volunteer manager Lisa Miller at volunteers@rotmuseum.org for an application.
