Tribal, federal concerns prompt Fountain Hills emergency pump installation

Town Council formally ratifies agreement

While the Fountain Hills Town Council was on summer recess, concerns over drainage into Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation drew federal attention.

Given the matter, Town Manager Rachael Goodwin, under legal review, approved the surface water drainage pump on Panorama Drive. 

During the council’s Sept. 1 meeting, a 6-0 vote formally ratified the agreement for a new pump.
