Have any “heavy metal” in the way of spring cleaning – and we’re not talking about music…?

Boy Scout Troop 444 of Fountain Hills once again is collecting metal for recycling this spring.

The event will be Saturday, April 12.

Troop members can pick up items at your house, too.

“Your donation helps our scouts earn money for summer camp and saves the environment,” said Sean McWilliams, committee chair.

“It’s a win-win.”

Truck space is limited for this event, so call early.

The troop can take appliances, water heaters, any motors, and all metal scrap except for TVs and electronics. Entire cars have been accepted in the past as well.

Call McWilliams at 836-8506 to schedule a pick-up appointment.
