Trucks collide on Palisades

Two dump trucks hauling dirt from the construction site in FireRock Country Club collided at the intersection of Palisades and Golden Eagle boulevards on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of the rear truck told Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies that his brakes failed coming down the hill on Palisades. The trucks collided causing extensive damage to the right front and passenger side of the cab.

The front vehicle sustained damage to the rear left tires on the trailer. It was expected that vehicle could be driven away after the tires and wheels were replaced.

Trucks collide on Palisades

Two dump trucks hauling dirt from the construction site in FireRock Country Club collided at the intersection of Palisades and Golden Eagle boulevards on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of the rear truck told Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies that his brakes failed coming down the hill on Palisades. The trucks collided causing extensive damage to the right front and passenger side of the cab.

The front vehicle sustained damage to the rear left tires on the trailer. It was expected that vehicle could be driven away after the tires and wheels were replaced.

Sheriff’s deputies said a third vehicle was involved. An SUV stopped at the stop sign at the time of the collision sustained damage from debris from the accident. No one was injured in the accident.

MCSO called Scottsdale Police to have a certified truck inspector brought to the scene. He was still going over the vehicle as of this writing.
