Did you ever stop to think about the number of people it takes to assure that we, who are blessed to live in Fountain Hills, are able to enjoy a perfect Christmas season?
The celebration began with the November Art Festival, which brought thousands of people into our town. Thank you Sharon Morgan and Paige Lorentzen of the Chamber of Commerce for organizing that event and continuing the festivities with the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, which was preceded by the Turkey Trot, organized by the Town Parks and Rec staff.
The River of Time Museum entered the season with a fabulous Holiday Mart chaired by Marge and Jerry Colbert who worked tirelessly, with the help of many volunteers to create a perfect place for all ages to shop!

For many people the fun continued at the Kiwanis Breakfast with Santa, chaired by Donna Yordy and Joyce Stehlik and carried out by dozens of Noon Kiwanians.
Later that day, Heather Ware, our tireless Town Volunteer Coordinator, put on a wonderful Candy Cane Party for all the kids, helped again by dozens of volunteers. The day ended with a charming Stroll in the Glow, organized by Sharon Morgan and Paige Lorentzen and attended by none other than Santa Claus!
What none of us see are the many Town employees who do all the background work setting up the lights, putting everything in place and cleaning up after everything is finished, making it appear easy and seamless.
The weekend was capped off by the holiday concert performed by the Community Chorus, bringing us all holiday cheer. All in all, an incredible amount of time and effort is put in by a lot of wonderful people to give us all a perfect holiday season.
