Now in its 18th year, the T&T Construction Open recently concluded its 2013 tournament at Desert Canyon, raising $8,500 for local sports groups.
The event has donated more than $132,500 to sports programs over the years with the first Fountain Hills tournament taking place in 1995.
Following a full day of golf, lunch and raffles, proceeds are distributed among the high school softball volleyball team, wrestling team and the Fountain Hills Little League program.
Ted Trulson said that he and his fellow organizers would like to thank all of the “talented and generous sandbaggers” who took part in this year’s event.
“We would also like to thank those wonderful people who provided the portable coolers on the course,” Ted said.
“A special ‘thank you’ also goes to all who generously donated treasured and valuable gifts that made our raffle and auction a super success. And a very special ‘thank you’ goes to the 28 hole sponsors.”
Per usual, Trafficade Services provided all of the hole sponsor signs used in this year’s tournament.
Last Wednesday, May 22, Ted was joined by T&T employees Jerrad Trulson and Ben Siegert in passing out this year’s donations. High school coaches Brennan O’Connor (volleyball), Bill Nye (softball) and Jim Tait (wrestling) were on hand to accept their donations.
