Tucker and Sanchez

Please, please, please, before you get involved in someone else’s situation, please know the facts on both sides.
This way rumors and lies are not affecting innocent people.
The dog fight that took place Oct. 8 at Fountain Park was between two leashed dogs and both dogs walked away.
Sanchez was seen by a local veterinarian seven days later. This veterinarian advised the owner that Sanchez had a neurological condition that was not related to the dog fight. He was offered a referral to the Veterinary Neurological Center of Phoenix in October, but declined.
We met with Scott and Sanchez a couple of weeks later and told him to definitely take him to a neurologist and we would help with the cost of the initial examination. He again declined. Tucker belonged to AZ Paws and Claws and was being boarded at Pal’s Inn. Rescue Pals tried to help the owner.
This wonderful community stepped up and collected money to help Sanchez have exploratory surgery last Monday. A tumor was found, which explained why he was having trouble getting up and down and why he became progressively worse over the past two months.
We are deeply saddened by Sanchez’s passing, but the dog fight was not the cause of his neurological disease. He had a cancerous tumor that affected his central nervous system.
