Maricopa County Sheriff’s Animal Cruelty detectives arrested two male suspects who allegedly week shot a horse multiple times March 10 at a residence in the Rio Verde foothills area. The two shot the horse no apparent reason, according to Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The suspects, identified as Dylan Gundry, 18, and Bryce Fleming, 20, were questioned by the sheriff’s animal crimes detectives and both admitted to shooting the horse a number of times each.
The horse suffered through the night before being found and was euthanized the following morning.

Two arrested for shooting horse in RV area

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Animal Cruelty detectives arrested two male suspects who allegedly week shot a horse multiple times March 10 at a residence in the Rio Verde foothills area. The two shot the horse no apparent reason, according to Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The suspects, identified as Dylan Gundry, 18, and Bryce Fleming, 20, were questioned by the sheriff’s animal crimes detectives and both admitted to shooting the horse a number of times each.
The horse suffered through the night before being found and was euthanized the following morning.
The suspects are local area residents. They are suspected in being involved in other crimes including burglary and trafficking stolen property. A stolen shotgun was allegedly used to shoot the horse. The two were been booked into the sheriff’s downtown jail on multiple felony charges.
“This crime spree started with burglaries and stolen property and quickly escalated to the shooting of a horse, what was next humans?” Arpaio said.
