Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives are continuing to investigate the discovery of two bodies at a Fountain Hills residence late Wednesday morning.

MCSO received the call at around 11 a.m. after a delivery person went to the home on Centipede Drive west of Grassland and made the discovery. The person delivering a package discovered one body outside the door of the residence and saw the second body through an open door.

By noon the Sheriff’s Office was setting up a command center in the street to conduct the investigation.

At 12:30 p.m. Sheriff’s Capt. Dave Letourneau, commander for MCSO District 7 in Fountain Hills, said detectives were still arriving at the scene and in the process of writing a search warrant to enter the house to conduct the investigation.

Letourneau would confirm only that there were two deceased subjects. He declined to comment on age, gender, location in the home or the manner of death.

Letourneau said the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
