Fountain Hills Rural/Metro firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a house fire on Organ Pipe Circle Tuesday morning just before 10.

Firefighters to find a large home with dark smoke coming from the structure, according to Fire Chief Randy Roberts.

“Firefighters made an interior attack and quickly knocked down the flames,” Roberts said.

Two adults and a dog were home at the time of the fire and all escaped without injuries.

The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical malfunction. Damage was contained to a home office, according to Assistant Fire Chief Dave Ott.

Rural/Metro sent an engine from its Rio Verde Drive station to cover Fountain Hills.

During mop-up on the Organ Pipe fire, a second house fire was reported on Briarwood Lane.

The move up engine from Rural/Metro responded to that fire, which was inside the garage. There were able to knock the flames down quickly.

The home owner received some smoke inhalation and was being checked by paramedics. The cause of that fire was determined to be rags on an air compressor.
