In a few weeks the voters in Fountain Hills will be receiving their mail-in ballots and will be asked to approve three issues.

Friends of Fountain Hills Schools Committee is asking that local voters approve the school budget override renewal and school district bond.

The override will:

* Maintain class sizes and attract/retain quality teachers and staff.

* Retain free all-day kindergarten.

* Provide professional development/ maintain teacher aides.

* No tax increase, a continuation of existing override.

The bond issue will:

* Improve student safety.

* Upgrade technology and software.

* Renovations/upgrades to existing buildings and facilities.

* Improve school campuses and install energy efficient systems.

* Purchase buses to replace our aging fleet.

Lastly, I would ask our voters to support the street bond for Saguaro Blvd. The street is nearly 40 years old and is in dire need of repair and is becoming more of a hazard to drive.
