Two thoughts

Non-political thought: Thanks to the River of Time Museum, to all those who donated items or money to the cause and to all who attended.

The Taste of the P-Bar Ranch dinner and auction was a great event. My wife and I had a very good time and appreciated the novel event. As is usual with RoTM events, it was very well organized, interesting, fun and well attended. As usual, John Kavanagh was a great auctioneer.

New and very interesting were the various food stations; all those restaurateurs deserve a very special thanks for their donated food and time. And I want to give a personal and special thanks to Doug Poll and Brooklyn Beddingwho once again donated a new mattress set. And thanks to Alan Cruikshank, who did not bid against me this year.

Political thought: If you live in the Golden Eagle Precinct (northwest portion of town) and cast the Republican ballot, please include my wife and me among those for whom you cast your vote for precinct committeemen. You may vote for up to 16, but need not for that many.

Our non-partisan town election is on the same ballot as the partisan primary ballot, so there are really two elections at once; the primary and the town election. For the town election, I will be voting for Cecil Yates as mayor and for Mike Scharnow and David Spelich for town council, and recommend that you do the same.

On the partisan ballot, I will be voting for Martha McSally and David Schweikert for federal office, as well as Ken Bennett for governor. Also, for Timothy Jeffries, John Kavanagh and Jay Lawrence to represent us at the State House. Donna Reagan is my pick for reelection as secretary of state.
