Tyler Flynn is off to a hot start in his senior wrestling season, and he hopes to add his name to the Fountain Hills High School history books by the end of the year. He’s 18-1 through November and December, and his first win of the year was his 100th career victory.
“I knew that I ended last year with 99, and then when I went out, I totally forgot that I had 99 wins,” Flynn said. “It was awesome once I realized that it happened. It was so cool that I did that.”
Flynn and his teammates went to celebrate at Buffalo Wild Wings after Flynn earned his 100th victory and took first in the Wickenburg Invitational. Flynn said he’ll eat a lot of chicken and rice over winter break to maintain his weight, but he is looking forward to a full Christmas day feast.
