While Trump has told one lie after another during his campaign and made many outrageous claims, one of his responses to the Orlando massacre was even more unhinged than usual. He (and his parrots, including writers to this paper) have ranted and raved about wanting everyone to use the term “radical Islam” to describe the actions of deranged terrorists, as if this would somehow make a difference.
The main difference would be that it gives the terrorists the legitimacy they want, by wrapping their hateful actions in the name of religion.Using those words is helping the terrorists with their “PR.”
Do these people use “radical Christianity” to describe the KKK? Do they use the term “radical Mormons” to describe the actions of the domestic terrorists who have tried to steal our public lands for their personal gain and caused millions of dollars’ worth of damage to a public nature preserve in Oregon?

Of course not, because the actions of a few crazy people do not define a whole religion. Thankfully, President Obama has the intelligence and enough understanding of religion to realize this. We know Trump’s familiarity with religion by his reference to “Two Corinthians.”
The two words that would be helpful to actually debate and understand this carnage are in the Second Amendment that Trump and his parrots swear allegiance to: “well regulated.”
Have any of them actually ever read the Second Amendment? It clearly gives the government the right to regulate arms. No one needs an assault rifle for their own defense or for hunting. Assault rifles are made for assault.
Trump’s use of “radical Islam” helps the terrorists. “Well regulated” arms (as in the Second Amendment) could keep weapons out of the hands of insane people. Let’s get our priorities straight regarding which two words to use!
