Upgrade of traffic signals at Palisades, FH Blvd. wrapping up
A contractor working for the Town of Fountain Hills has mostly completed a project upgrading the traffic signals at the intersection of Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards.
Streets Supervisor Justin Weldy said the crew has been working for a number of weeks now installing new conduit and wiring with workers boring under the streets to avoid tearing up the pavement.
Video cameras were also added to monitor traffic and control the cycling of the signals based on traffic flow. The cameras do not record traffic.

Weldy said there will be work continuing for a couple more weeks while concrete, asphalt and landscaping is restored in the area.
Motorists should be on the lookout for workings near the intersection.
