USA Caucus

Thank you for replying to my request for assistance in putting together a caucus of reason in these troubled times. We have a website/blog to get out the message with voices of reason who simply ask questions like: What part of Medicare will lose $500 billion? Will Medicare suffer a slow erosion and dissolve or a clean cut after the Presidential election in 2016?

We are feeling the erosion of earned benefits of individual and corporate pension systems with regard to spousal benefits and the increased pensioner contributions; not to mention the escalation in Part D costs for all Medicare recipients.

We believe there are solutions to the present problems of this National Healthcare Act. First, all Americans must be part of the plan. If it’s good for average citizens, it’s good for their representatives and federal and state employees. You think it can’t be done? Ask each candidate to make that part of their platform (Y or N). Texas initiated tort reform; Arizona should look at that.

There are some parts of the law that are more than acceptable; family insurance for children up to 26 years; as well as those who suffer pre-existing conditions are notable examples. Keep in mind that Social Security and Medicare are earned benefits. If the politicians continued them with dedicated funds instead of placing them in the general fund we wouldn’t have these problems.
