USPS negligence

I mailed a registered letter at the Fountain Hills Post Office on June 24 at a cost of $14.55 to the island of Malta.

On June 25, it arrived at Los Angeles, a wrong location. This letter stayed in Los Angeles until July 27, when it arrived in New York.

It took USPS over a month to send a one-sheet document from LA to NY.

August 1, it left New York and, up until August 10, I still do not know whether this letter arrived at its destination or not, according to USPS.

After calling up three times and waiting over 30 minutes to talk with someone, USPS blames customs for a very thin one sheet document letter.

In between I had to make a duplicate copy of the important document to send again through FedEx, costing me $84.84 to deliver to Malta in three days, which it did.

In the meantime I am still waiting for an answer from an inquiry that USPS started to end by August 8.

Also, I was supposed to get my $14.55 back because my original letter never got there.

Note: The same thing happened to me about a year ago when I mailed a check in a letter and it took over six weeks to get to its destination.
